Height/Weight: As of her 4 month check up, Mia is 14 lbs and 9 oz and a whopping 25-3/4". She's consistently marked on the 90th/50th percentile breastfeeding chart. I love it! My little lamb isn't so little anymore!
Sleeping: Mia's naps are still kinda all over the place, but are becoming more and more predictable. I thought I'd be able to get her accustomed to a schedule (awake for 1.5 hours, asleep for 1.5 hours and repeat), but I guess she doesn't flow to that sorta rhythm. I've been following her and reading her signs... Hopefully I'll have her following some sort of routine by the time she's 6 months old.
Social: My little one is great when handled by familiar and unfamiliar faces. If you say her favorite word (which is, "hi!" by the way) she'll undoubtedly laugh and laugh and laugh. It's really silly and endearing!
Likes: Her Wubbanub pacifiers (specifically Rupert the Lamb, Jorge the Monkey and Ellie the Elephant), sucking on her fingers/hands... including her thumb!, playing on her Kick 'N' Play, O-Ball Blue and Orange and playing with Yeay C.
Dislikes: Include changing outfits... ! Well, she'll let you know if she doesn't like something. She's still wicked particular!
Crying: Lately, she doesn't cry so much. It's a big difference from what I've been accustomed to! (Or maybe I've misread her cries? Possibly.) Understandably, the only times she's shed tears was when she got her recent vaccinations and also on a 6-turned-9 hour car ride to Pennsylvania. She still fusses (no tears!) when being put down for a nap, but otherwise, she's pretty content overall.
Feeding: We've gotten her nursing schedule down to a science. Depending on if she wakes up at 7/8a, she'll eat at 10/11a, 4/5p and 7/8p with a dream feed at 9/10p and she'll wake up at 12/1a and 5/5:30a to comfort nurse (As soon as she hits the nipple, she's out! Should we be sleep training? I can't bare the thought of letting her cry it out though.).
Clothes: My little monster is in 6 and 6-9 month clothing!! It's insane how long she's gotten since birth! She's in size 3 diapers, too, now.
Milestones: She rolls from back to tummy, has good head control and gnaws on hands!
Postpartum: I've gotten sooo much better. I can now say that I've completely passed my postpartum depression and can fully enjoy my daughter. My self-image can be better... but oh well. On that note, I'm 20 lbs away from my pre-pregnancy weight. TMI: I got my first postpartum period! It was heavy for the first day and was progressively lighter and lighter with occasional spotting here and there. //sigh Ohhhhh if only I were like some women whose weight whisked away with breastfeeding and whose periods were delayed a full year!
