Please excuse the horse teefs and mess in the backgrounds of either picture.
I FINALLY GOT MY HAIR DONE. Jeez. I've been suffering with horse hair syndrome for the longest time and finally bugged my SIL enough. Hah! Seriously. My hair felt so heavy and I could do absolutely nothing but keep it in a bun or a low pony tail.
I used Veronika's hair cut as inspiration for my layers and I used some pictures from Pinterest to show the subtle graduation of color I was hoping for.
I felt so incredibly happy when my SIL chopped off my hair. She took a little over 2" off the ends and added more layers to add bounce and body to my heavy, heavy hair. I also wanted to try an incredibly subtle take on ombre so I had her replicate the highlights she gave me last July and gradually diffuse my ends with color. The color itself is hardly noticeable, but I absolutely love that effect. It looks dark, but compared to my roots, you can see the difference! The best part? You can't tell where the color starts/finishes (I hate when there's a definitive line. It's so completely unattractive, I can't stand it!) and that's the beauty of a good colorist/stylist. I still have length! So hopefully the old ladies will not hate on my hair when I see them.
In two months' time, I will definitely lighten my ends further with maybe a three or four level color vs the five I ALWAYS get. Furthermore, I will ask for a "balayage" style color vs the ombre. I think the former is more me! Hah!
As I continue checking in via Instagram, Twitter and the Community, I find that I love being part of the Tone It Up community. It's a group of women who are supportive and continually motivate one another toward their communal goal of actively pursuing a better, healthier lifestyle. Seriously. I've actively participated here and there (since 2010) upon hearing of the community- I even bought K&K's nutrition plan in 2012, but it wasn't until this current challenge where I was like, "Let's bust my Holiday Fat off its knockers!!".
I haven't lost anything since my weigh-in last week... Damn you, Plateau! I'm still trekking with my healthy meals and two workouts per day.
A typical check-in mainly consists of food and the occasional selfie.
I'm not sure what else I can do to trick my body into kicking the pounds outta my system... I think I just need to continue eating healthily and working out regularly.
Working out bites!!, but I've learned to deal with it. Haha!
I'm continuing to drink 3L per day... woo hoo! Restroom and I are best buddies.
This is the first Tone It Up challenge I've ever "completed"!

How did every one spend their holiday?! Crissy and I were going to host a party, but due to familial circumstances, we decided to hang out by ourselves in lieu of celebrating with others. (Our beloved Pats weren't in the Super Bowl anyway.) We ordered pizzas, got ourselves some soda and beer and had ourselves a little cleaning fest (We were looking for a document he and I misplaced, haha!).
Trust me. If you could see this apartment, it looks like a tornado/snow storm/hurricane dropped Kansas and beat it to death. Did we find the document? NOPE. Had to order a duplicate. Yuck.
I thought Bruno Mars did a fantastic job as the entertainment! He is so incredibly talented- vocally, musically- I didn't know he could play the drums. I also liked the nod to the American military. It was sweet. Also, Red Hot Chili Peppers- what? Clothed?! No way! It was nice seeing them!
Seriously. Like every other person and her mother, I adored the Budweiser commercial. (Reminds me of the frog Budweiser commercial they did back in the 90s/00s.. No?)
I think it's official. Super Bowl XLVIII was the worst Super Bowl of all time. It wasn't even a contest between the Broncos and the Seahawks- it was a straight up annihilation, desecration, castration! Also, it made my beloved league look like absolute idiots. (Wut? The Broncos? THAT shitey team beat THE best team in the AFC, let alone National Football League? Gosh. I digress. But that's besides the point.) I wanted the Broncos to win, but I could've cared less overall! Blahhh!
