Christmas Dinner 2013

I had a crazy Christmas day.. but el Hubs and I were able to salvage the evening by going out to a new Korean BBQ restaurant (the first one in central Connecticut)- YUM! (If you're interested (which I'm sure no one is since no one is in Connecticut except for me!), you can check out my Yelp! review.)

Crissy's typical sushi order- Philly and Cali Rolls.

Got taken off guard since I usually cook the meat.. ?

It was delicious!

Our night out was one of the best in a while. It feels sooo good to spend some QT after being so busy 95% of the week. I'm embracing all of our alone before Empanada or Eggroll decide to stop by... !

I hope your Christmas was as wonderful as ours!

Date Night: Dec 2013

I really love this time of year. Mean New Englanders (although I will say Connecticut Nutmeggers are not mean overall) take the time to be kind to one another and do their best to keep up with the holiday cheer. It's actually really very nice.

This month, el Hubs and I were able to enjoy a number of activities. The Wadsworth Museum hosted its annual Festival of Trees and Traditions.

We also watched a number of movies!

I have a love for French movies (à la peps) which I slowly suckered Cristhian into. US' Delivery Man was a remake of France's Starbuck. It was a decent movie overall. I saw it with Shawn and then again with Crissy (but I could've waited to see it on DVD since it was nearly the exact replica of Starbuck).

Cristhian really wanted to see The Hobbit in theatres. I'm so glad we did. The effects and graphics were absolutely incredible. I'm not too sure why I never got into the series in junior and high school, but I feel a real urge to watch it!! (Especially since el Hubs gifted me the complete collector's edition blu ray set!)

American Hustle was not my cup of tea. 'nough said.

I'm not much of a Will Ferrel fan... the only movie I loved that he starred in was Elf. I'd never seen the first movie let alone watched Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, so Crissy had me watch the first part before leaving to the theatre.

We like movies. Can you tell?

OOTD: Christmas 2013

Jacket: Express
Dress: Forever21
Shoes: Ann Taylor Perfect Pumps
Clutch: Michael Kors

I'm not at all fashionable.. but, at the very least, I try to look presentable and limit my want for comfortable clothing. I'm going to try and mimic other blogs (like Leeda's) and try out an OOTD/OOTN. Let's see how well this goes!

Christmas Gifts for the Torchhs to the Torchhs!

Cristhian and I are pretty practical people (ok.. sorta kinda iffy me; maybe, definitely him!)- especially when it comes to gifts. We invest the bulk of our time and money into gifts for our family and friends. And ultimately get one or two "big item" purchases for one another. Last year, Cristhian and I gifted one another a Blendtec (it was $400+ at the time!!).

This year, we've decided to gift one another:

2/3s of our gifts are all kitchen-related items. Aren't we romantic? Ahahaha!

Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2013

VS models, in my opinion, are the sexiest and most beautiful runway models. I'm sure I'll get heat and evil eyes ('fitness models are sooo much more beautiful!' or 'all models are evil!'), but it's my honest opinion! I feel like if I worked harder, I could probably achieve a body like Sui He or Ming Xi(, but with bigger boobs and hips! They are lesser known VS models and were the only Asian models this year.. BOO!). I missed the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show this year. I don't remember what Crissy and I were doing, but we were out and about. Womp womp! Recently, I finally got the chance to see the show.. and I absolutely love it (like I do every year)!

I think Taylor Swift did amazingly well (doesn't hurt that I'm absolutely in with her and have been since she broke out in the early '00s!). FOB was wonderful to listen to as well. I also really like how they tried to make the models' lives seem difficult. I mean, I know their life can't be THAT difficult, but it was nice that the producers tried to make the girls more relatable.

Some of my favorite outfits!

Seriously. When Behati came out, I was like, "DAMN! She's extra gorgeous this year!"

One thing that makes me uber sad is that my favorite Angel, Miranda Kerr, retired from VS! Boo hoo! I always look forward to seeing her. She's too cute!

What was your favorite part of this year's show?!
