TAG: Holly Jolly Tag

I've decided to participate in one more tag in order to get into the spirit of the season! I was searching through tags on Youtube and stumbled upon this one. I thought the questions were unique. So I decided to give it a go!

1. Do you start your Christmas shopping on Black Friday or wait until the last minute?
Honestly, I shop for Christmas/birthdays/etc whenever I spot something I think X would like. I especially love when what I've spotted is on sale and has a great coupon to pair with.

2. If you could be in any Christmas movie what would it be?
My favorite Christmas movie is The Nightmare Before Christmas, but I think that'd be too scary to partake in. So…. I'd have to say ELF!

3. Which do you like better: Christmas Eve or Christmas Day?
Christmas! To me, Christmas Eve was always a tad bittersweet. Hopefully future Christmases as a family (with Cristhian, I mean) will render that sentiment invalid.

4. When does your family put up your Christmas tree and who decorates it?
I don't really remember when my family put up the Christmas tree… but in recent years, Cristhian and I put up the tree the Monday or Tuesday after Thanksgiving (since we travel to family for the holiday).

5. White lights or colored lights?
We change the theme every year. This year, it's white and silver!

6. Are you guilty of peeking at your presents or do you like the surprise?
I'm not one for surprises, but I do appreciate a bit of a thrill on Christmas.

7. Would you rather live in a gingerbread house or in Santa's Workshop?
Gingerbread house- that way I can be forever fed.

8. Tell us your Christmas Eve traditions!
I continue my maternal family's tradition to open just ONE gift on Christmas Eve. I've coerced Cristhian into that tradition as well!

9. If you could be under the mistletoe with anyone who would it be?
Cristhian! Kekeke.

10. What tops your tree?
The topper this year is from Target. Actually, we're looking for decorations that we can use from year to year... and we're going to buy one we really like after Christmas so we can rake in on the savings! Kekeke.

11. Can you name the 12 days of Christmas?
No, although I used to be able to. In recent years, I've only sung 6 and below.

12. Have you ever gone Christmas caroling?
Yes, actually! It's a bit of a thrill. And it's a delight when your neighbors spot you and invite your group in for some tea, cocoa, etc.

13. Do you countdown to Christmas? If so, how many days are left?
In my semi C-T household, we countdown the holiday starting from December 1. So, there's 24 days left!

14. What are some foods and treats you can count on having every holiday season?
Christmas ham and cider!

15. How has Christmas kept its magic for you as you've grown older?
It was my aunt's favorite holiday and the last one I was able to share with her. Also, I try to become festive during the holidays because it encourages Cristhian to engage in family activities!

I tag you!
